About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of attorneys and a paralegal representing minors in removal proceedings
- Directly represent minors and mentor pro bono attorneys in similar proceedings
- Collaborate with legal management on the analysis and creation of legal strategies
- Provide detailed reporting statistics on each case supervised, mentored, and represented
- Prepare trainings and materials for organizational use
Requirements
- J.D. degree and admission to a state bar
- Four or more years of immigration law experience
- Experience managing volunteer engagement
- Strong database and computer skills, preferably with Salesforce
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations using trauma-centered practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Experience working with law firm volunteers
