Supervising Attorney

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of attorneys and a paralegal representing minors in removal proceedings
• Directly represent minors and mentor pro bono attorneys in similar proceedings
• Collaborate with legal management on the analysis and creation of legal strategies
• Provide detailed reporting statistics on each case supervised, mentored, and represented
• Prepare trainings and materials for organizational use

Requirements

• J.D. degree and admission to a state bar
• Four or more years of immigration law experience
• Experience managing volunteer engagement
• Strong database and computer skills, preferably with Salesforce
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with vulnerable populations using trauma-centered practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Experience working with law firm volunteers
