Supervised Visit Monitor

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and monitor court-ordered visits between parents/guardians and children to ensure a safe, neutral, and structured environment
• Define visitation rules and intervene or terminate visits when safety or compliance issues arise
• Document family interactions with objective, factual notes and prepare case reports
• Provide written and verbal feedback to participants regarding conduct and progress
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information in compliance with laws and standards
• Collaborate with referring agencies, county staff, and community providers
• Support assessment of family needs and progress toward case goals

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in social work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
• Prior experience with child protection, child welfare, or family court systems preferred
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed practices
• Ability to remain neutral, objective, and calm in high-conflict situations
• Must pass a criminal background check and DHS disqualification screening
• Current CPR, AED, and BBP certifications
• Valid MN Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
