Superintendent, Transmission & Distribution Operations

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and professional guidance to the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Operations department.
• Set strategic direction and formulate goals to meet operating needs and enhance divisional core competencies.
• Oversee succession planning, workforce quality, and professional capability to ensure long-term continuity.
• Manage resource utilization, including staffing, equipment, and tools, to meet changing operating needs.
• Develop and implement career development and staff training plans.
• Provide technical and professional advice to work groups and across the company.
• Participate in company emergency response activities and preparedness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of field or design experience in the construction, installation, and maintenance of T&D facilities and equipment.
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• 1-2 years of experience in preparing operating budgets and managing expenses.
• Thorough knowledge of overhead and/or underground T&D engineering standards and work practices.
• Proficiency with personal computers and related software (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.).
• Valid State of Hawaii driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to be transported by helicopter.
