Superintendent - Public

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all site construction activities and supervise trade and field personnel
• Develop and maintain project schedules including master, 60-day, and two-week look-ahead schedules
• Enforce corporate safety programs and ensure proper site safety, cleanliness, and quality control
• Prepare daily construction reports and monthly status reports for the client
• Attend weekly foreman, superintendent, and project team meetings
• Establish document control to ensure work follows latest design documentation and approved shop drawings
• Communicate RFI needs to the project manager and assist in resolving constructability issues
• Secure and renew required permits and approvals from jurisdictional agencies
• Maintain punch list process and promote positive subcontractor relations
• Oversee daily field operations to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, scheduling, cost control, and safety regulations
• 10-Hour and 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificates
• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate
• NYC Buildings Construction Superintendent License preferred
