Superintendent - Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate resources for the maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment, grounds, and buildings.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of shift supervisors and technicians, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Implement and monitor effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage the annual maintenance expense budget and initiate corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Analyze equipment downtime and present monthly improvement plans to management.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Safety departments to support new equipment installations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing requirements, organizational structure, and the training and development of subordinates.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience managing plant maintenance facilities, OR 10 years of progressive management responsibility in a large industrial maintenance department with a high school education.
• Proven experience in managing maintenance staff and overseeing industrial equipment modification or retrofitting.
• Ability to manage budgets and prioritize work based on organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley (PLC 5, RS Logix 5000, SLC 500, ControlLogix) or Siemens S7.
• Knowledge of DeviceNet, Profibus, or Ethernet IP.
• Experience in Die Casting, CNC, Robotics, or large hydraulic systems.
• Previous design experience.
