About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise hourly bargaining unit employees in daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment operates in ideal conditions.
- Define and execute required work based on established Maintenance Work Orders.
- Update significant data for Preventive, Predictive, Autonomous, and Corrective Maintenance in work orders and machine history records.
- Plan and program work execution to minimize production downtime and ensure high-quality repairs.
- Support the development of Preventive, Predictive, and Autonomous Maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
- Manage maintenance and operating costs by defining and executing works within the established budget.
- Coordinate programmed maintenance work with sufficient anticipation to minimize production losses.
- Evaluate equipment, new installations, or modification proposals regarding maintenance capability and prevention.
- Define equipment spare parts and inventory quantities based on maintenance experience and company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Proven knowledge of Preventative and Predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCI, FMFA, and Fishbone analysis.
- Proven experience working with CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of reliability strategies including RCM and TPM.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMRP or CRE status.
- Vibration Level 1 or 2 certification.
- Experience with statistical downtime analysis.
