Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Function as a field supervisor responsible for organization, work methods, scheduling, and cost control
• Mentor and help grow Junior Superintendents
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement plans for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diaries for record-keeping purposes
• Ensure all performance evaluations for direct reports are completed in a timely fashion
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or leadership capacity
• Experience working on infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, dams, water/wastewater)
• Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve complex problems
