Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Function as a field supervisor overseeing Foremen, laborers, and craft workers
• Organize work methods, scheduling, and cost control to ensure project conformity
• Mentor and develop Kiewit staff and ensure timely completion of performance evaluations
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement plans for project completion and turnover
• Maintain a daily diary for record-keeping purposes
• Foster positive working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or leadership capacity
• Experience with infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, dams, or water/wastewater treatment plants)
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage contract administration
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required and access all areas of a construction site
