Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all site construction activities, maintaining the highest quality standards
• Supervise trade and field personnel and administer construction safety practices
• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules including master, 60-day, and two-week look-ahead schedules
• Ensure implementation of corporate safety program requirements in daily operations
• Track material deliveries, shop drawings, and document control to ensure work matches latest design documentation
• Attend weekly foreman, superintendent, and project team meetings
• Prepare thorough daily construction reports and monthly status reports for the client
• Communicate RFI needs to the project manager and secure required permits and approvals
• Oversee daily field operations, quality control, site cleanliness, and punch list resolution
• Promote positive subcontractor relations and ensure project completion on schedule and within budget

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, and engineering drawings
• 10-Hour OSHA and 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate
• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate
• NYC Buildings Construction Superintendent License is a plus
