About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all onsite labor, including subcontractors, staff, and volunteers
  • Lead weekly subcontractor and field coordination meetings
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans
  • Monitor construction progress and resolve schedule, quality, and coordination issues
  • Inspect work for compliance with project plans, building codes, and quality standards
  • Document progress using Procore through daily reports and field logs
  • Perform and verify critical layout dimensions for foundations, framing, and finishes
  • Prepare material takeoffs and coordinate procurement and deliveries
  • Maintain jobsite safety in adherence to OSHA and Habitat policies
  • Supervise, coach, and support Crew Leaders and volunteers
  • Foster a collaborative and mission-driven work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of residential or multifamily construction experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of framing, building envelope, and cladding systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Project)
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in San Mateo, San Francisco, and Marin Counties
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders/stairs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Superintendent on multifamily residential projects
  • Experience with Procore construction management software
  • Experience supervising volunteers or apprentices
  • OSHA 30 certification
