Superintendent for Powerblock - Turbine Generator

Responsibilities

• Accountable for work planning and execution, including construction methods, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate construction activities for nuclear steam supply components such as turbines, generators, and condensers.
• Implement and enforce safety, quality, and human performance programs.
• Monitor project schedules and identify risks, developing recovery strategies when necessary.
• Manage the productivity of direct hire trade labor and subcontractors.
• Review and support the creation of Construction Work Packages.
• Ensure all work is constructed in compliance with drawings, specifications, and QA programs.
• Perform regular field tours and site safety inspections.
• Manage performance for direct reports, including coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of mechanical construction experience.
• Proven experience in subcontractor supervision.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear safety culture and Quality Assurance Programs.
• Experience managing complex construction projects.
• Ability to plan installation sequences and coordinate with engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of nuclear reactor refurbishment and assembly experience.
