Superintendent Electrical & Automation II

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability of electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation equipment, including MV/LV transformers, switchgears, MCCs, and motors.
• Lead the design, specification, programming, and testing of PLC and HMI systems.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures to prevent re-occurrence.
• Manage projects related to the commissioning and performance improvement of automated equipment.
• Supervise Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians and coordinate with suppliers.
• Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance plans.
• Analyze equipment maintenance histories and investigate process deviations or anomalies.
• Participate in the budgeting process and control maintenance costs for automation equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, or Electronics preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ControlLogix PLC and HMI programming.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Design and Maintenance (MV & LV).
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a cement plant environment.
• Deep programming knowledge of Rockwell and Modicon PLCs.
• Proven understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards/codes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting variable speed drivers for AC and DC motors.
• Proficiency with engineering software including AutoCAD, Visio, and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and machine automation.
