Responsibilities

• Offer personalized guidance on course selection, academic planning, and progression
• Assist students in overcoming personal, financial, and academic obstacles by connecting them with resources
• Develop and facilitate workshops on study skills, time management, career exploration, and financial literacy
• Track student performance and maintain detailed records to implement interventions
• Work closely with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to coordinate support services
• Participate in student recruitment and orientation sessions
• Stay informed about best practices in academic advising through professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work, psychology, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services in higher education
• Proficiency in advising and student management software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to supporting a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
