About the role
Responsibilities
- Offer personalized guidance on course selection, academic planning, and progression
- Assist students in overcoming personal, financial, and academic obstacles by connecting them with resources
- Develop and facilitate workshops on study skills, time management, career exploration, and financial literacy
- Track student performance and maintain detailed records to implement interventions
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to coordinate support services
- Participate in student recruitment and orientation sessions
- Stay informed about best practices in academic advising through professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work, psychology, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services in higher education
- Proficiency in advising and student management software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student population

- Master’s degree in a related field
