Summer Teaching Assistant - Math and LA

Responsibilities

• Support instructors with company-created math and language arts curriculum and materials
• Work one-on-one with students during class activities to help them grasp complex concepts
• Assist with classroom management for groups of up to 16 students
• Help with grading and providing constructive feedback on student assignments
• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic curiosity
• Build encouraging relationships with students and staff members

Requirements

• Must be 16 years old or older
• Strong Math and Language Arts skills
• Exceptional written and spoken communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to commute to our campus in Mountain View, CA
• Positive and encouraging attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with or interest in working with younger students
• Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum
