About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support instructors with company-created curriculum and materials to help students grasp complex concepts
  • Work one-on-one with students during class activities to provide personalized assistance
  • Assist with classroom management for up to 16 students to maintain an organized learning environment
  • Help with grading and providing constructive feedback on student assignments
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic curiosity
  • Build encouraging relationships with students and staff to support academic growth

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Strong skills in Math, Language Arts, and/or Science
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Ability to commute to our Vienna, VA campus for in-person sessions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or a strong interest in working with younger students
  • Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum
