About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in all aspects of the summer program
- Support student educational success with a focus on reading and math
- Supervise student activities as assigned
- Assist with student transportation by riding the Hope College bus during pickup and drop-off routes
- Participate in mandatory staff orientation during the week of June 8-11
Requirements
- Demonstrated successful experience working with ethnically and economically diverse elementary student populations
- Strong relational skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work the entire duration of the summer program (June 15 through July 30)
- Availability for required orientation and daily hours (approximately 7:45am to 1:15pm)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred
