Summer Student Day Camp

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver quality programs and activities for children using a trauma-informed perspective
• Plan and implement age-based activities focused on literacy, STEM, emotional regulation, and mental health wellness
• Role model healthy behaviors and attitudes to support positive growth in participants
• Maintain accurate client files and communication logs regarding children's programming
• Assist with special events, risk management, and program calendar creation
• Interact with parents in a supportive, non-judgmental manner
• Work alongside volunteers and other staff members to ensure effective camp operations

Requirements

• Completed Grade 9 education
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 29 lbs
• Successful completion of internal child and youth abuse prevention clearance
• Flexible disposition and a positive attitude
• Ability to maintain a responsible level of maturity and leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in extracurricular activities or volunteer work
