Summer Resident Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support and serve as a resource for students living on-campus during the summer months
• Facilitate regular interactions and programming to build community among summer residents
• Attend regular one-on-one meetings with supervisors and weekly staff meetings
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist residents as needed
• Assist with camp and conference operations, including occupancy and key management
• Support facilities operations by assisting with room and common space cleaning
• Conduct room inspections prior to the end of the summer term
• Manage Residence Life social media accounts

Requirements

• Must be a current, full-time Texas Wesleyan University student
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA
• At least 1 year of experience living on-campus
• Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends, late nights, and holidays
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations or emergencies
• Ability to handle confidential matters in compliance with FERPA regulations
