Summer Residence Assistant Lead

Responsibilities

• Assist the Residence Manager in planning and executing energetic, welcoming weekends
• Organize work processes and delegate duties to residential assistants, including creating rotas
• Oversee weekend reception duties, including student arrivals and departures
• Maintain high standards of room quality and service through regular building checks
• Enforce curfew policies and ensure the safety of under-18 students
• Manage student enquiries and address misconduct in coordination with school staff
• Implement safeguarding procedures and follow all fire safety and evacuation protocols
• Ensure effective communication between day and night staff during weekend shifts
• Support the security team and participate in emergency phone duties

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer service environment, ideally working with young people
• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to lead a team from the front
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• A proactive "above and beyond" mindset and great attention to detail
• Right to work in the UK upon commencement of the contract
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check and provide two references
