Summer Network Operations Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the installation of routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Perform basic troubleshooting of data networking issues
• Participate in change controls related to the data network
• Create and maintain network documentation
• Participate in project meetings and assist in gathering business requirements
• Work with vendors to resolve open trouble tickets and production issues
• Assist with ongoing network operations audits
• Design and implement small branch office LAN/WAN environments

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Networking, or Information Systems degree program
• Excellent computer skills, specifically with Google Apps
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively on both self-managed and team-oriented projects
• Self-starter capability with the ability to synthesize ambiguous information
