About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and healthy housing environment and holistic support for women in difficulty at L’Abri d’espoir
- Manage admissions, including welcoming, integrating, and accompanying women through their stabilization process
- Act as an intermediary between participants and public institutions, healthcare professionals, and government services
- Manage crises and resolve conflicts to ensure the safety and peaceful cohabitation of participants
- Plan, organize, and facilitate activities that promote social reintegration
- Manage and distribute medication in accordance with established policies
- Maintain up-to-date files, statistics, and related documentation
- Provide administrative support to management and program services
- Perform regular room inspections and ensure compliance with cleanliness and pest control protocols
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in helping professions (DEC, certificate, or bachelor's) or currently in progress
- 1-2 years of experience in psychosocial intervention, particularly with women in difficulty
- Strong knowledge of community resources and the health and social services network
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Fluency in French (written and spoken) and intermediate English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, empathy, and emotional maturity
- Valid workplace first aid certificate (CSST) is an asset
