Summer Internship - Law Students

Responsibilities

• Contribute to substantive patent prosecution work under the guidance of an attorney mentor
• Assist with drafting and responding to office actions
• Conduct prior art research
• Help prepare appeal briefs
• Engage in appropriate client interactions

Requirements

• Current law student
• B.S. in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or Electrical Engineering (EE); equivalent degrees will be considered
• Technical work experience in areas such as software, hardware, or networking
• Demonstrated interest in patent law
• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis or San Jose

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced technical degrees
• USPTO registration
