About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide event support including preparing name badges, printing signage, and assisting with registration and catering checks.
  • Supervise student staff by reviewing daily tasks, managing schedules, and assisting with monthly meetings and 1:1s.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, updating forms, and managing office inventory.
  • Serve as an on-call resource for the Summer Housing Guest Services Office, including evening and weekend availability.
  • Execute office errands and deliveries as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a university and in good disciplinary standing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possession of Child Protection Clearances (Act 153).
  • Availability to live on campus from May through August (housing provided at no cost).
  • Availability to work 30–37 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to navigate the Pittsburgh campus on foot, climb stairs, and lift approximately 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, event planning, or data entry.
  • Previous experience in supervision or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn.
