Summer Health Assistant

Responsibilities

• Supervise health and sanitation for various summer programs operating at Colgate University
• Act as a liaison to the Madison County Department of Health by maintaining medical paperwork and reporting incidents
• Assist with health screenings and the supervision of medication administration
• Maintain confidential medical histories and a daily medical log
• Respond to emergencies and make referrals to Community Memorial Hospital
• Work with the Summer Health Director to ensure compliance with health regulations

Requirements

• Current New York State certification as a Physician, NP, PA, RN, LPN, or EMT
• Current Responding to Emergencies first aid certificate
• Current CPR certification (not exceeding one year in duration)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry approximately 50 pounds
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students
