Summer Camp Staff

Responsibilities

• Be present and engaged with assigned campers throughout the daily program
• Share the Gospel when and where appropriate
• Assist campers in practicing SEL techniques such as self-regulation and sharing feelings
• Maintain control and order in assigned cabins
• Communicate behavioral problems with leadership
• Observe and enforce all safety measures, especially those preventing abuse and bullying

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• At least 16 years of age
• Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Available to work Monday-Friday during the summer months
• Ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification
• Dependable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D and some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish greatly valued
