Summer Camp Counselor

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of 15+ campers, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
• Foster group connection through team activities, games, and daily interactions
• Collaborate with instructors to deliver project-based curriculum involving STEM
• Manage camper behavior using restorative practices and provide individual support
• Support extended care programming and assist with daily setup and material preparation
• Greet families with enthusiasm and follow check-in/check-out safety procedures
• Participate in camp songs, chants, and ceremonies to maintain high energy

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Experience supervising groups of 10+ children
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in childcare, summer camp, tutoring, or coaching
• Availability to work 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, for at least 4 continuous weeks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Ability to use web-based tools via a personal smart device

Preferred Qualifications

• College coursework in Education or Child Development
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
