Subsystem Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated and manual test cases for subsystems and ADAS, primarily on Android Automotive platforms
• Analyze functional requirements and system architecture to define comprehensive test plans
• Execute tests in simulation, SIL, and HIL environments to validate software behavior and hardware interaction
• Develop and maintain automation code in Python using Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Integrate and operate HIL test benches, controlling laboratory hardware via scripts
• Perform ADAS validation using industry tools like IPG CarMaker or dSPACE
• Conduct analysis, debugging, and triage of defects to identify root causes
• Refactor and optimize automation scripts and test suites for efficiency and robustness
• Manage versions, dependencies, and configurations using version control systems
• Document test results, evidence, and stability metrics using collaborative tracking tools
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and product management teams within agile methodologies

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Systems, or related field
• Strong Python programming skills with deep understanding of OOP
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches and laboratory hardware control
• Ability to analyze, document, and report software defects
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC/STLC best practices
• Over 3 years of experience managing test environments
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing with programming

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Android OS and associated automation tools
• Hands-on experience with ADAS testing using IPG CarMaker or dSPACE
• Experience with Selenium or Appium
