Substitute Instructor

Responsibilities

• Adequately prepare for classroom instruction
• Keep students motivated and interested in the program
• Ensure students set realistic attainable goals
• Maintain a high degree of discipline within the classroom
• Account for students under your responsibility
• Maintain accurate student records and files
• Adhere to all DOL, Company, Center and department guidelines
• Develop corrective action plans for students with deficiencies
• Monitor statistical data related to GED tests and scores
• Develop instructional plans using TABE diagnostic

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Possession of, or eligibility for, temporary teaching certification in California
