Substitute Infant, Toddler & Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and loving environment for children ages 3 months to 6 years
• Model empathy, respect, responsiveness, and gentle guidance in daily interactions
• Engage with children as they explore age-appropriate, stimulating materials
• Support the implementation of play-based curriculum under the direction of classroom teachers
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom following licensing requirements

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 12 Early Childhood Education units
• 3 infant care units required for supporting infant classrooms
• Experience working in a licensed child care facility
• Ability to meet California Department of Social Services / Community Care Licensing requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like squatting, bending, and standing
