Substation Site Supervisor & Inspector

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical activities including testing and commissioning in 115kV/44kV substations
• Prepare progress, QA/QC, and expenditure reports
• Verify compliance of plans and specifications with current standards
• Ensure contractor adherence to the latest engineering drawings and quality plans
• Review and approve all QC checklists
• Manage non-conformance reports and follow-up
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors
• Adhere to site safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of substation construction experience
• Expertise in electrical testing and commissioning for substation and hydro projects
• Ability to read engineering design drawings
• Knowledge of Hydro-One standards
• Valid Class G driver's license
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint
• Ability to work a rotation of 2 weeks on and 1 week off
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing field recommendations to subcontractors
• Experience managing Requests for Information (RFI)
