About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based substance use disorder services through counseling, psycho-educational classes, and process groups
  • Diagnose substance use disorders in accordance with DSM-5 and ASAM requirements
  • Develop and maintain Individual Service Plans (ISP) for clients
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatment and case management activities
  • Collaborate with behavioral healthcare providers and community partners to support client needs
  • Participate in agency supervision to obtain and maintain professional licensure

Requirements

  • Working toward or possessing an Associate's Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or a related human services field
  • Credentialed with the Washington State Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT)
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 and ASAM requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed the first 50 hours of direct supervised training
  • Bachelor's Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or a related field
  • Previous coursework or experience in human development, chemical dependency, or residential treatment
  • Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance (if required by work location)
