About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based substance use disorder services through counseling, psycho-educational classes, and process groups
- Diagnose substance use disorders in accordance with DSM-5 and ASAM requirements
- Develop and maintain Individual Service Plans (ISP) for clients
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatment and case management activities
- Collaborate with behavioral healthcare providers and community partners to support client rehabilitation
- Participate in agency supervision to obtain and maintain professional licensure
Requirements
- Working toward or possessing an Associate's Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or a related human services field
- Credentialed with the Washington State Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) or Professional (SUDP)
- Knowledge of DSM-5 and ASAM requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed the first 50 hours of direct supervised training
- Bachelor's Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or a related field
- Previous experience in residential treatment or chemical dependency services
- Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance (if required by work location)
