About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ESRI ArcGIS databases across various domains including Offshore Subsea Operations and Major Capital Projects.
- Manage and organize ArcGIS databases and geospatial datasets on Microsoft Azure.
- Maintain the Subsea GIS portal web service, providing troubleshooting and support for user requests.
- Create spatial data visualizations, including web-based maps and dashboards.
- Develop new geospatial tools and functionality to enhance user experience and real-time data visualization.
- Automate ArcGIS workflows for data administration and analysis using Python API, notebooks, and ArcGIS REST API.
- Collaborate with product line architects to optimize web-service performance and data process workflows.
Requirements
- University degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry related to GIS and web-based mapping systems.
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Skills Training certification.
- Proficiency in data-focused programming languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, R, or PowerShell.
- Experience with ArcGIS databases and enterprise geospatial solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Visio, Miro, or Slack to develop automated process workflows and system architecture.
- Experience applying agile project management principles.
- Familiarity with offshore survey data acquisition methods, geodesy, and coordinate projection mathematics.
- Demonstrated success working on multi-discipline teams as a technical contributor.
