About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, specify, and apply subsea hardware design criteria for deepwater capital projects, R&D programs, and offshore installation activities
- Provide technical recommendations regarding subsea hardware design philosophies and strategic contracting decisions
- Support subsea projects from concept evaluation and selection through to commissioning and start-up
- Interface with contractors and sub-contractors to ensure work meets project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and execute procedures for FAT, EFAT, SIT, pre-loadout, and installation of subsea hardware
- Participate in risk assessments, root cause failure analyses, and technology evaluations
- Monitor and provide engineering oversight of third-party engineering contractors and service providers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including marine, risers, pipelines, and flow assurance to align work scopes
Requirements
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree in Subsea, Offshore, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering
- 3 to 13 years of experience in subsea engineering design or operations
- Working knowledge of Subsea Production System Hardware (Wellhead, Tree, Manifold, Jumpers, Connectors)
- Knowledge of subsea engineering codes and standards, including API 17D/6A/17H and ASME 31.3/31.8
- Familiarity with offshore installation activities and subsea system architecture
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work the shift of 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST
- Willingness to travel internationally (less than 10%)
