Submarine Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and service ISIS and RADAR equipment and systems at various Naval locations
• Perform technical evaluation, installation, testing, and certification of AN/BVY-1 (ISIS) and AN/BPS (15,16,17) (RADAR) systems
• Assist DoD personnel with required corrective actions in accordance with Navy Maintenance Procedures
• Develop technical data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures
• Support engineering tasks including maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and testing of electronic/mechanical equipment
• Review change proposals for equipment impacts and assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, plans, and system specifications

Requirements

• Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of practical experience, OR a degree with 6 years of experience
• Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of Submarine C5I systems/equipment
• Experience in the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems
• Experience with network configuration and BYG-1 combat control systems
• Experience as an Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) Alteration Installation Technician
• Bachelor's degree
