Submarine Modernization Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct deck plate audits and surveillances and document findings
• Develop Liaison Action Records (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS)
• Prepare SHIPALT / ECI WAFs and tags
• Manage project schedules and track planned vs. actual progress
• Identify and interpret drawing issues and technical discrepancies
• Work with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) to ensure proper work sequencing
• Provide written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
• Participate in Planning and Hotwash events to support MIWG and TI-NEXT
• Prepare technical reports, trip reports, and weekly status updates

Requirements

• Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• 10 years of practical experience with a High School diploma/GED, OR 6 years of experience with a relevant degree or formal technical training
• Proven experience conducting deck plate audits and surveillances
• Strong background in work controls and project schedule management
• Experience identifying and interpreting technical drawing issues
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Submarine Combat Systems Modernization
• Proficiency in WAF and Tagout generation
• Direct experience developing Liaison Action Records (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS)
