Subject Matter Expert, Private Credit & Alternative Investments

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, translating private market workflows into solution-oriented discussions.
• Drive sales engagement by identifying client needs and leading solution alignment and architecture discussions.
• Develop industry thought leadership and represent Moody’s at industry events, client forums, and executive discussions.
• Translate emerging market trends, regulatory developments, and client needs into actionable product requirements.
• Deliver internal training to sales, customer success, and strategy teams regarding client use cases and market dynamics.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of product development by identifying whitespace opportunities in private markets.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in private credit, alternative investments, or asset management.
• Deep understanding of private credit operating models, investment lifecycle workflows, and risk management practices.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including portfolio managers, CIOs, and risk leaders.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA Charterholder status.
• Advanced degree.
• Experience with platforms such as Aladdin, eFront, or similar private markets systems.
• Direct experience in investment, risk, portfolio management, or product strategy functions.
