Subject Matter Expert : Molding

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues using a scientific approach with engineering tools such as decoupled molding, scientific molding, Tolerance Analysis, SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma
• Drive improvements in productivity and quality for plastic part manufacturing, molding, and tooling techniques
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert for molding processes, utilizing deep knowledge of material properties and tool component fabrication
• Participate in new material development, new process development, and technical innovation
• Travel frequently within the region as required

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in plastic tool design, mold making, or the molding industry
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a dedicated molding process position
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Plastics Technology, Polymer Science, or an equivalent field

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mold setup, process optimization, and developing plastic processing parameters
• Experience managing precision parts and high-volume products across multiple vendors in parallel
• Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning, hot runner systems, and scientific molding techniques
• Ability to analyze mold flow analysis and provide actionable improvement feedback
• Proficiency with a wide range of materials including engineering plastics, liquid silicon rubber, thermal plastics, primers, and epoxies
• Excellent systematic, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
