Subject Matter Expert Electronics Design and Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of multi-discipline groups to develop requirements and detailed designs
• Guide structural design and configuration development through trade studies
• Perform detailed structural and thermal analysis using hand calculations and analysis tools
• Document structural analyses to ensure compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering teams on sizing, placement, and PCB layout/routing
• Validate designs through various methods of review, testing, and analysis
• Develop and support new processes to improve engineering efficiency and reduce cycle time
• Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations for technical failures
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs

Requirements

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 9+ years of experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
• Experience with thermal, structural, dynamics, or vibration analysis, OR experience with PCB design and assembly

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience within the aerospace industry or working with space electronics
• Proficiency with ANSYS, Creo CAD, SolidWorks, FEA, Siemens NX Nastran, MSC Patran, or COMSOL Multiphysics
• 3+ years of experience leading teams on complex projects
• Strong ability to collect, synthesize, and analyze data to develop technical recommendations
