Study Director II

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the technical conduct, review, interpretation, and reporting of assigned laboratory tests
• Act as the single point of study control to ensure all assigned studies are completed on time
• Collaborate on test method and equipment validations and serve as a document owner for Standard Test Procedures (STP)
• Resolve assigned Quality Events (QE) and assist in hosting laboratory auditors and visitors
• Manage customer relationships by communicating business strategy, product life cycles, and laboratory offerings
• Collaborate with Sales on project estimates and customized quotes
• Provide supervisory management and leadership as assigned

Requirements

• M.S. in life science preferred, or B.S. in life science with 1 year of Study Director I experience, or A.A./A.S. with 3 years of Nelson Labs laboratory experience
• Successful completion of Study Director Training
• Strong technical writing ability and effective communication skills regarding technical concepts
• Knowledge of the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Biomedical industries
• Demonstrated supervisory and conflict management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a professional laboratory environment handling biological or chemical hazards
• Basic financial acumen and understanding of laboratory business operations
• Ability to contribute technical and scientific content to professional publications
