Study Abroad Advisor

Responsibilities

• Advise students from assigned colleges on study abroad opportunities, including exchanges, direct enroll, and affiliate partners
• Support students through the entire process from initial inquiry to the returnee stage
• Manage student documentation, tracking mechanisms, and required forms
• Provide guidance on financial aid, scholarships (such as Gilman and Boren), and credit transfers
• Maintain accurate applicant data and manage website information using Terra Dotta
• Develop and execute marketing and recruitment plans, including education abroad fairs and information sessions
• Facilitate pre-departure orientations and re-entry sessions for students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with education abroad or academic advising
• Ability to implement marketing and recruitment plans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Proficiency with Terra Dotta software
• Experience studying, living, or working abroad
