Studio News Director

Responsibilities

• Direct live and recorded news broadcasts using Mosart automation systems
• Switch news programs using automated studio facilities in a live-to-air environment
• Collaborate with producers, presenters, and technical crews to deliver high-quality news output
• Operate and manage studio systems, including switching, graphics, and rundown execution
• Contribute to rolling news coverage, WA bulletins, and national opt-ins/breaking news
• Maintain accuracy and composure under tight deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a TV studio director in a live-to-air news environment
• Expertise with Mosart automation systems (Mosart automation pilot experience)
• Strong knowledge of newsroom software including ENPS and Viz graphics
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and work under pressure
• Understanding of the editorial elements of news production
