Studio Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of studio spaces, including photography, film, and darkroom facilities.
• Provide technical support and manage equipment operations, including checkout, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Train, mentor, and provide direction to student workers.
• Assist in the installation, organization, and presentation of Fine Art and Photography exhibitions and galleries.
• Maintain inventory systems and assist with the upkeep of equipment and supplies.
• Support the coordination of academic and program-related events and projects.
• Assist with the production and post-production of photography, video, and design assets for marketing and communications.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for studio and equipment use to ensure safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Capture One Pro.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to living out and upholding the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a higher education or academic studio environment.
• Familiarity with photography, film, or design studio operations.
• Experience training or mentoring student employees.
• Strong understanding of studio safety practices and equipment maintenance.
