Studio Facilities Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on furnaces, annealers, and specialized glassworking equipment
• Routinely charge furnaces and ensure workspaces are clean, organized, and safe
• Prepare studio spaces for rentals, classes, residencies, and other programs
• Assist students, instructors, residents, and renters with technical guidance
• Support various glassmaking activities including furnace work, flameworking, kilnworking, and coldworking
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive creative environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Hands-on knowledge of glassblowing, flameworking, sandblasting, and fusing
• Experience working with glass studio equipment and systems
• Familiarity with Watlow controller programming and operation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, and iOS technology
• Ability to lift and transport materials up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
