Student Worker-Roc Nation Early Scholars Program Mentor

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular check-ins with Early Scholars to provide support, such as assisting with course registration and IT portal access
• Provide academic support to help students navigate their coursework and university responsibilities
• Join program outings, including Broadway shows and sports events, to facilitate student participation and safety
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment to help high school students integrate into the university community
• Serve as a positive role model and encourage participation in university events

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled at LIU and in good academic standing
• Strong academic performance demonstrated through GPA and classroom engagement
• Passion for sports, music, or the entertainment industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to relate to high school students and foster a supportive environment
• Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in mentoring, tutoring, or leadership roles
