Student Worker (NPP Academic Coordinator)

Responsibilities

• Assist midshipmen candidates with understanding and completing coursework in College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Precalculus
• Monitor and support candidate progress through Khan Academy courses, ensuring module completion rates of 90 percent or better
• Oversee mandatory NPP study hall sessions to ensure productive use of time and provide academic support
• Track student progress and manage academic support sessions effectively

Requirements

• Must meet Navy height and weight standards
• Must be in good standing with the Hampton Roads NROTC Unit
• Earned a grade of B or better in Calculus I and II at Regent University
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Demonstrated experience aiding students in advanced mathematics or calculus
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and instructional communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with university staff and operate independently
