About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for ruminant livestock and assist with general farm upkeep
- Follow standard operating procedures and document work activities and observations
- Communicate regularly with the Marion Carll Farm Veterinarian and full-time caretakers
- Dependably and thoroughly close and secure the facility
- Operate a skidsteer loader (on-the-job training provided)
Requirements
- Enrolled in an active LIU degree program
- Must be comfortable in a farm environment and handling various animal species
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and possess physical endurance
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Availability for weekend and holiday split-shift schedules (mornings and late afternoons/evenings)
