Student Wellbeing Case Management Advisor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor complex student wellbeing cases within the student accommodation community
• Provide case management and wellbeing guidance to students and accommodation staff
• Complete mental health assessments, including risk factor assessment and safety planning
• Coordinate care arrangements with external providers such as emergency services, hospitals, and GPs
• Identify and report on potential risks, including harm to self/others and matters related to sexual assault or harassment
• Assist in coordinating residential life wellbeing activities, presentations, and workshops
• Work with accommodation providers to develop a safe and inclusive residential culture

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Social Work, Health Services, or a related discipline
• Expertise in conducting mental health assessments and risk factor assessments
• Knowledge of the Australian higher education system and students in residential environments
• Experience with trauma-informed approaches and gender-based violence processes
• Ability to deliver guidance on sensitive topics to culturally diverse audiences, including LGBTIQA+ and people with disabilities
