Requirements

Masters Degree in Mental Health, FLDOE School Counselor or Social Work Certificate, NPI and AHCA Approved Service Provider status, 1-2 years counseling experience preferred

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary behavioral case manager for Tier 1-3 students on the Student Experience Team
  • Support the execution of behavioral interventions, including conducting FBAs and tracking data for Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with mandated services on 504 plans or IEPs
  • Create monthly SEL curriculum scopes to educate students in Character Building and Social/Emotional initiatives
  • Support families by providing resources or referrals to outside agencies for mental health, food security, or housing needs
  • Collaborate with teachers to isolate target behaviors and implement classroom-based interventions
  • Participate in the Behavioral Threat Assessment Team and manage documentation for mental health flags
  • Analyze academic progress reports to identify and support students at risk of course failure

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health (School Counseling or Social Work)
  • FLDOE School Counselor Certificate or FLDOE School Social Work Certificate
  • NPI (National Provider Identifier) and AHCA Approved Service Provider status
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in counseling and working with youth and families
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Kreyol
  • Experience serving students and families from linguistically diverse or under-resourced backgrounds
  • Experience working in a high-performing district or charter school environment
