Responsibilities

• Lead the DP Empowered class through intellectual preparation and curriculum execution
• Help students explore personal, career, and academic interests via in-class experiences and check-ins
• Facilitate age-appropriate conversations regarding current events, community service, and student identity
• Build a positive classroom culture using effective management best practices
• Conduct ongoing group advising sessions to assess academic, emotional, social, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with Scholar Support teams to support student success
• Help students identify and apply for summer opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in teaching and school counseling or social work
• Proficiency in classroom management and project-based learning
• Strong written communication skills for student feedback and recommendations
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and families

Preferred Qualifications

• MSW or MSEd in School Counseling
• Experience with discussion-based and project-based learning activities
